MPower Dance Workshops’ in-studio and week-long intensives are unlike any other workshop or convention you will ever attend. We have designed our events to revolve around themes that are at the core of a technical dance training program and use them to draw parallels to life beyond the studio. In doing so, we show dancers and parents the real return on their investment: A SUCCESSFUL AND FULFILLING LIFE! The habits, focus and discipline that are needed to excel in the dance studio are the same needed to excel in school, life and career. We bring them all together to help demonstrate that simply by having dance in their lives, they are built for success; that change and growth are as much about will as they are about experience. Our director, Jason Marquette, created MPower out of a desire to ensure that the next generation receives ALL of the benefits of a dance education. It was his belief that, while conditioning and proper technique are always at the core of what we do, it is how dance strengthens the mind that we truly benefit from. His daily affirmation? Make your own destiny. Fate is determined by determination. In this time of So You Think You Can Dance and Dance Moms, it is easy to get caught up in the noise and lose sight of what is at the heart of this art form; life never stops moving and we must be ever conscious of every moment lest we miss out on our moment to shine.

My daughter had an absolute fabulous week at MPower. The instructors are amazing! They are outstanding, kind, funny, supportive and very giving to all of the students and families. It's very clear that they love what they do and take great joy in nurturing a new generation of young artists. The teaching philosophy is more than how to be a great dancer. The approach is holistic in nature and encourages all students to love and embrace themselves and each other, and to feel confident that what they have and who they are in the world is enough, and is wonderful.
