Dance teachers are part of the village…
Choosing supplemental dance training experiences for your kids may be one of the most important decisions you make in their young lives. The instructors they encounter at these events are people whom they come to admire and respect and, as a result, whose behaviors and lifestyles they may come to model. What do you know about the people you are sending them into the room with? The dance education industry is as diverse with opportunities as it is with people to provide them. But what are those experiences really offering and communicating to your kids? Is the focus on the celebrity at the front or is it on the development of each dancer in the room? Are they providing clear guidance that is focused on the physical and mental health of your dancer, or is it all about the instructor’s social media engagement? It’s time to put the student back at the center of the experience and only you can ensure your kids are getting the education they deserve.
