Why MPower is unique
Our themed in-studio experience is designed from
start to finish with the intention of giving young
dancers an exciting and dynamic classroom
experience under the instruction of world-class
faculty. We focus on a solid foundation of
technique combined with an approach to teaching
that is infused with tools for success. We challenge
and celebrate each dancer where they are on their
journey. By creating a supportive class
environment, we help them break down their own
self-created obstacles so they can exceed their own
expectaions.
Customizing Your Event
Once we’ve settled on a date, it’s time to
collaborate to design the perfect event. You
choose the genres, number of levels and number
of classes for each level. You can even request
faculty from our distinguished list of instructors.
Our resident faculty teach all of the genres you’ve
come to know and love including ballet, tap, jazz,
musical theater dance, hip hop, modern,
conditioning and contemporary. If you want
something unique, we have an amazing network of
instructors who teach various specialties including
Irish Step Dance, Bollywood, Chinese Opera Dance,
Latin Styles, Ballroom and Swing partnering and
more!
Pricing
Once we have figured out what your event will look
like, we’ll give you a flat rate based on:
•
length of event (1 - 3 days)
•
number of classes
•
number of instructors
•
estimated travel and lodging
•
all additional administrative expenses
This rate will cover up to an agreed upon number
of students (i.e. up to 30 students). If more
students attend than anticipated, we charge an
additional fee for each student greater than the
agreed upon number. This way, you know exactly
what your costs will be…no last minute additional
expenses! Most one day events in the continental
U.S. fall between $3,200 - $4,000. We’ll provide you
with a schedule and even a pdf file of a poster to
market your event!
What An MPower Event Looks
Like
At the start of each session (each level has their
own session of 3 or more dance classes) we stand
in a circle and discuss the theme of the event and
what it means. We then go around the circle and
ask each dancer to slate (professional term for a
brief self-introduction) with some basic information
as well as something unique about themselves.
Then we dance! At the end of the day, we sit down
in a circle again to discuss the day and what they
learned about dance, life, and themselves!
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
